United Ghanaian Associations of New Jersey Annual Picnic

Orange, NJ -- The United Ghanaian Associations of New Jersey held their annual

picnic during the 4th of July weekend. According to the organization, the

goal among others were to foster unity, friendship and support among all

Ghanaians. It seeks to enhance the Ghanaian traditional spirit of

togetherness, to promote assurance of the personal well being of members and

non-members alike.

Several events took place at the picnic and the soccer tournament was won by

New Jersey's pride soccer club; Friends Club of New Jersey. There was also

a tug of war tournament, dancing competition (boys and girls) and ludu.

The event was well attended and it was an opportunity to meet old friends

and acquaintances.

Gucci Soundz provided great music and left a lasting impression as the

Grandpapa of Ghanaian music in New Jersey.
