United States To Assist Women's Association

Ayeasu (Brong Ahafo Region), 29, Sept. The United States government is to assist Ayeasu Women's Development Association in the Techiman District with a grant of 1,600 dollars for the completion of a day care centre project. An agreement to this effect has been signed by the Queenmother of the town, Nana Agyeiwaa Kodie and the US Embassy in Ghana in Accra. The chief of Ayeasu, Nana Frempa Taotuo (ed correct) who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency, said the grant forms part of the US Embassy's self-help programme in the country. He commended the Embassy for its gesture and gave assurance that the amount would be used for the intended purpose.
