Thu, 23 Oct 1997 Source: --

A Member of the Council of State, Nana Aboagye, has suggested to the Universities to allow estate developers to build halls of residence for students on rental basis. He said this will enable the universities to admit more qualified students who would have been left out because of lack of accommodation on the campuses. Nana Aboagye was addressing the Fifth Anniversary of the Anfoega Youth Association, which is also known as Dzadikumanenyo, in Kumasi. He said most parents will be prepared to rent such hostels for their children and everything possible should be done to ensure that such people are not deprived of university education because of the lack of accommodation. Nana Aboagye commended the executive of the Association for bringing the youth of the Anfoega traditional area together for the development of their communities. The President of the Supreme Council of Dzadikumanenyo, Mr.. Gabriel Ameka, mentioned J.S.S. workshops, KVIPs and electricity as some of the projects the association has helped to provide in the area.
