University Challenge: Rats chew examinations results

Thousands of Ugandan students are unsure whether they have won University places after rats chewed through exam board computer cables.

Students who were to have been placed in teacher training and medical schools are among those affected.

In the UK, a workshop on law reform was told last week that reams of vital computerised court evidence had been lost in the same way.

And last year, international phone links went down after rats severed wires.
