The office of the Central SRC in a circular on 1st May, 2020, wrote to the office of the Senior Assistant Registrar through the Dean of Students beseeching the University Management to suspend the ongoing e-learning lectures as many students were facing problems which are preventing them from being able to partake in it.
The e-learning program which begun about 5 days ago was put in place to enable both lecturers and students to continue the trimesters’ academic work and do their best to complete it amidst the Covid- 19 pandemic.
Challenges being faced by students include; the inability of students to log in to the site as a result of not completing their registration for the second trimester, as well as the inability to login to the site despite completion of registration.
Also, students were being charged for accessing the site instead of having the zero-rating they were assured of in accessing the site.
The above challenges have caused quite a number of students to miss multiple lectures.
