An unknown Accra-based lawyer is seeking to place an injunction on next month’s Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential election in Tamale.

John Kwame Quayson, who also claims to be a football administrator, is partnering football club Dynamic Heroes of Winneba to stop the election from taking place.

Despite the notion that he already placed an injunction on the election, the statement of claim is what has been seen with no evidence yet that the matter has been taken to court.

There is not writ of summons and Suit Number showing that the matter has not yet appeared before the courts, similar to the threats from King Faisal FC made before last year’s GFA congress it claiming an injunction which was defied by the federation, paving the way for the league to take place.
