Following Sunday's heavy downpour in Accra, the Darkuman Quarters Road has been cut off from traffic.

This was after two giant trees fell on the road, completely blocking it from traffic.

In videos made available to GhanaWeb, the two fallen trees were seen at different points of the road, making it impossible for commuters and motorists to use it.

Although the video did not indicate any casualty, one of the giant trees is seen to have fallen directly on a Toyota Camry, completely smashing it just around the booth of the car.

Some residents, seen with cutlasses, were also seen making efforts to cut off the tree in pieces to help make way for commuters.

As at the time this story was written, no state security agency was present to help salvage the situation, as was seen in the videos.
