Florence Marfo, widely recognised as the only female driver with inter-city transport company VIP, has opened up about unsettling supernatural encounters during her night shifts on the Kumasi-Accra highway.

In an interview with Asetenapa TV on Monday, March 9, 2026, Marfo recounted a chilling experience near Juaso in the Ashanti Region.

“One night on the Kumasi Road, near Juaso, I stopped by a cemetery and saw someone in a white gown. When I looked closer, the person’s face was covered in blood…,” she said.

She further narrated another eerie incident while returning from Ahwedie Triple Lane around 12:30 a.m.

According to her, she felt a sudden urge to honk continuously as she descended the slope on the road.

“I honked from the high point down into the valley. After I descended, I saw a torchlight directing traffic, so I moved to the outer lane. There I met a very old and a very small woman, who looked like she was about a hundred years old,” Marfo narrated.

For her, these encounters are not merely strange happenings but lessons one must learn as they drive on the road.

“When you’re on the road, you must respect it; the roads were here before any of us. When you pass through places with water or and other natural elements, remember they belong to people. If you don’t respect the road, you will always run into trouble,” she cautioned.
