VITAC donates digital clock to Legon hospital

Accra, April 2 GNA - An Academic Club from the VITAC Learning Centre based at Tema Community 7, on Saturday presented a Digital Wall Clock valued over one million cedis to the authorities of the University of Ghana Hospital in Legon, after a four-hour clean-up exercise.

Presenting the digital wall clock on behalf of the VITAC Academic Club, Mr. Delali Dompreh, a Lecturer of the School said VITAC organizes remedial classes for SAT, AGRE and TOFEL courses for students who want to travel to the United States of America. He added that in line with their mission, he believed that the electronic wall clock would help Legon Hospital to deliver total healthcare to the people of Legon and surrounding villages. Mr. Dompreh said although this was the first to donate to the hospital, he was grateful to present the wall clock.

Receiving the gift, the Senior Nursing Officer on duty, Mrs. Felicia Gasu thanked the donors on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Director of the University Hospital, the Hospital Administrator and the entire staff for such a gift and believed that that this gesture will go a long way to enhance their work at the Legon Hospital.

The VITAC Academic Club embarked on a four-hour general clean-up exercises by weeding, washing of the window mosquito nettings, desilting chocked gutters, burning of refuse and digging of a refuse pit.
