Accra, March 19, GNA - The Volta River Authority (VRA) on Wednesday said it had restored to service all the four service transmission lines and its inter-tie line with the power system of Cote d'Ivoire. A statement signed by Ms. Abla Fiadjoe, Acting Director, Corporate Service Department of VRA, said the Authority lost some service transmission lines in parts of Ashanti and Eastern Regions during last Sunday's rainstorm compelling it to reduce load demand on the system. The service transmission lines were Tafo-Akwatia, Nkawkaw-Konogo, Konogo-Kumasi and Obuasi-New Obuasi. At about the same time, VRA also lost its inter-tie line with the power system of Cote d'Ivoire.
