VRA’s Osabarima Agyare Tenadu trains in Dubai on CSR Development and Implementation Framework

Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, the Principal Community Relations Officer of the Volta River Authority (VRA), has successfully completed a five-day training course in Business Management and Organisation in Dubai.

This training, provided by the world-class training provider EuromaTech, was aimed at enhancing his capabilities in delivering his duties for the state-owned power generator.

During the training, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, who also serves as the Chief of Kade in the Eastern Region, expanded his knowledge on adopting new and improved sustainable business practices. These practices are designed to increase VRA's social responsibility and deliver a positive and strategic impact on host communities and other local stakeholders, utilizing purpose-built tools and techniques.

The course covered the development of various competencies, including the identification and analysis of stakeholders' expectations and needs, application of the ISO 26000 definition of Social Responsibility, assessment and management of sustainability risks, and assessing the corporate impact on host communities. It also emphasized planning for Stakeholder Engagement and Management, as well as recognizing bad CSR practices in the supply chain.

Additional skills acquired include management competencies for CSR projects, measurement of positive CSR impacts, reporting and communicating CSR results, and using tools and techniques from the SEAT toolbox.

Upon completing the course, which was sponsored by VRA, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II received a certificate of participation. In response to his newly acquired skill set, he expressed his gratitude to the executive management of VRA for the opportunity and pledged to use his skills to lead improved CSR initiatives and to foster a positive image for VRA.
