The Member of Parliament of Adansi Asokwa, K.T Hammond says he has met the developmental needs of his constituents over the years, hence the NDC’s agenda to make him unpopular in the area will hit a snag.

He said all the meaningful development in the area was initiated by him and the Kufuor administration, insisting that not a single development could be credited to the current administration.

He claimed there will not be any need for such campaign set by the NDC to topple his reign in the enclave since President Mahama is even getting his way out of the seat of government come November,7, 2016.

Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur told locals of the Adansi Asokwa constituency when he visited the area to observe the ongoing limited registration exercise that the time has come for them to vote out the NPP lawmaker if they really want real development in the area.

He suggested suggest the people vote for an NDC MP, who’ll always have access to the Presidency to lobby for development projects required in the area.

Reacting to the claims of Mr. Amissah Arthur, the Adansi Asokwa legislator said he’s even managed to annex the few suburbs in his constituency that normally vote for the NDC hence the NDC will fall flat in the upcoming polls.

“…Vice President was given a platform, a microphone and speakers and he should have noticed that he has electricity to speak the way he spoke because of K.T Hammond. He also went on a particular route to a place called Vumso and he should have known that for the last three months, not a single bicycle could ride on that road. It took K.T Hammond an amount of GHS50,000 to construct that road for him to go on that route today. Every single developmental project you find in Adansi Asokwa is through the good works of K.T Hammond and the NPP administration.

“I’m not sure of the NDC’s interest in Adansi Asokwa. Few days ago it was Asiedu Nketiah here, and days after it was Koku Anyidoho, Betty Mould Iddrisu. What do they really want here? I am here and I will let sanity prevail here. You’re on your way out and you are asking people to vote against me. Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo-Addo is coming to the Flagstaff House 2017 and they need K.T Hammond to continue the good works that we’ve done.”
