Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Wednesday presented a 33-seater bus to the Saint Augustine's College at Cape Coast.
The presentation was in fulfilment of a pledge he made earlier in the year, when the school, during their speech and prize-giving day and 87th anniversary celebration appealed to government to provide them with means of transportation.
Vice President Bawumia said education was a priority for government and would thus commit resources to ensure the steady progression of education to enable the country develop rapidly.
He said the institution of the Free Senior High School policy signaled government's determination to provide an all-inclusive education to build the country's human capital and ensure prosperity for all Ghanaians.
He was grateful to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Ghana Education Trust Fund for making the vehicle available for the school.
Mr Joseph Connel, Headmaster of the college was grateful to the Vice President for keeping to his promise.
He said the gesture would facilitate the transportation needs of the school and appealed to government to address the logistical constraints of the college.
