Veterans feted in Sekondi

Sekondi March 7,GNA- The Western Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) on Sunday organised a reception for members of the Regional Branch of the Veterans Association of Ghana in Sekondi, as part of activities marking the 48th Independence anniversary.

IN a n address, Mr Joseph Boahen Aidoo, Regional Minister, expressed regret about the delay in the payment of pensions to the veterans and has drawn the attention of central government to rectify the situation.

He said government was appreciative of the service the ex-servicemen have rendered to the nation and is concerned about their welfare.
