The former head of Communications and Public Affairs at the Energy Ministry, Nana Kofi Oppong Damoah, has been sighted in a video engaged in an argument with officers at a police station.
Nana Damoah, who was behind the counter wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of trousers could be heard warning someone to stop taking videos of him.
The video circulating on social media also captures one of the officers threatening to beat the NPP communicator if he doesn’t stop misbehaving.
Another officer is heard asking that they throw him into the cells.
The video has since been met with mixed reactions on Facebook.
Mr. Damoah refused to give details on the subject when contacted by GhanaWeb, he, however, was insistent that the video is an old one which has been brought up for malicious purposes.
Earlier this year, Nana Damoah was dragged to the Madina District Court and later office of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) over unpaid electricity and water bills to the tune of GH¢19,000.00.
Nana Damoah who at the time worked at the Energy Ministry with oversight responsibility for Power Distribution Services (PDS), allegedly refused to pay light and water bills for a period of 18 months that he stayed in a rented three-bedroom and a boys- quarters house at Salem Estates, Maledjor (off Adenta-Dodowa Road) in Accra.
