The Family of the embattled former deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah, is angry at media reports that they coerced the cousin-driver of Miss Hammah to confess to Radio XYZ to have been contracted to record his boss.

Over the weekend, Lawrence Quayeson told XYZ News Presidential Correspondent, Kwame Danso Acheampong in an exclusive interview at his Dansoman residence that the deputy Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Rachel Appoh contracted him to record Victoria Hammah in exchange of a US Visa and GHS2,000. He revealed in the interview that he had been recording Victoria Hammah for over three months now.

Hours later, a section of the media in Accra reported that Quayson claims he was forced by the family of Victoria Hammah to grant that interview to XYZ News.

But the family of Victoria Hammah is upset with the reports.

Brother of Victoria Hammah, Laud Hammah in an interview with XYZ News on Monday said he was surprised to hear Mr. Quayeson make those allegations on another platform after he wholeheartedly confessed his sins.

Mr. Hammah vehemently denied the allegations adding that no member of his family has attempted to coerce the Mr. Quayeson to accuse anyone or make the statements he made in the earlier interview with Radio XYZ.

Victoria Hammah was sacked on Friday by President Mahama after a leaked tape on which a voice purported to hers claimed that she was going to stay in politics until she made 1 million dollars.
