Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited also known as Vodafone Ghana, has won one lot of 2x5MHz Frequency Spectrum Block in the 800 MHz Bands which was put on sale by the National Communication Authority (NCA) in September this year.
This follows a successful financial negotiation between the company and the NCA.
A press release dated Wednesday, December 26 indicates that Vodafone Ghana now has a license to establish, maintain and operate mobile services with the 800 MHz Band, a deal finalized at a cost of thirty million USD.
The statement further stated that the sale of the Spectrum was in line with Section 58 of the Electronic Communications Act 2008, Act 775 which highlights the NCA’s mandate.
