The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region Friday expressed shock at the sudden demise of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr. Peter Gyimah, Deputy Volta Regional Police Commander.
The Party in a press release signed by Mr. James Gunu, Regional Secretary of the Party, said the Party received the sad news with shock and described the late ACP Gyimah as a "nice gentleman and an epitome of police professionalism."
The Regional Secretariat also expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, especially his wife, children and the Volta Regional Police Command.
The late ACP Peter Gyimah according to police sources fell sick on December 23, 2019 and was rushed to the Ho Regional Hospital at about 1400 hours same day.
His condition was said to have gone bad and was referred to the Ho Teaching Hospital for further treatment but later rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he died on December 25.
ACP Peter Gyimah until his death, was the Deputy Volta Regional Commander of the Ghana Police Service.
