Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged the people of Ghana to reject the politics of deceit, lies and propaganda and to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP, which has the proven ability and commitment to improving the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian and transforming Ghana.

Addressing a durbar of the chiefs and people of Kintampo while on tour in the Kintampo North constituency of the Brong Ahafo region on Monday, Dr. Bawumia said “for the past three and a half years, we have lived under a government which believes more in propaganda and lies than taking real steps to improve our conditions. We have been subjected to incessant propaganda where everything possible is done to deceive us into believing that things are getting better even though nothing is happening on the ground.

You travel around the country like I have been doing and you would quickly realize that very little has happened in the last three and half years. Development and progress has stalled everywhere and the people of Ghana can no longer accept this situation. One of the choices we would be making in December would be a choice between the governance focused on lies, deceit and propaganda and a governance focused on progress, development and positive transformation.”

Dr. Bawumia, on the 7th day of his Brong Ahafo tour, was sad that in many parts of the region he had visited, projects begun by the NPP had been left uncompleted for the last 3 and a half years while very few new projects had been initiated in the region.

He cited the example of various towns in the Wenchi constituency where he had toured on Sunday like Abrefakrom, New Wenchi, Buoku Junction, Mallam krom and Ayigbe. In these towns, the NPP had managed to erect electricity poles, wired them and fixed transformers, and yet they were still not connected to the National grid because the NDC, in the last three and half years, had failed to do the last and simple task of getting households in such communities, meters.

Another classic example of a stalled project is the road leading to Sampa. In this case, the NPP government which initiated the project had completed the Faaman – Sumanahenkro stretch of the road. However, the NDC administration failed to complete remaining 2 kilometre stretch of the road.

Dr. Bawumia on Monday toured the Kintampo South and North constituencies and was accompanied by Sheik T B Damba, Alhaji Moctar Bamba, National Organizer of the NPP, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, National Youth Organizer, Bugri Naabu, a leading member of the NPP, Stephen Ntim, a former Vice-Chairman of the NPP, Madam Rita Asobayere, former National Women’s Organizer, Mr. Asoma Cheremeh, Brong Ahafo Chairman of the Party.
