Axim (W/R), Dec. 5, GNA-The Western Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Solomon Nkansah has declared that the party has no intention of causing mayhem in Sunday's elections as was being peddled in certain parts of the country. He said the NDC is a law-abiding party that was why it handed over power peacefully to the NPP in 2000. Mr. Nkansah was speaking in an interview with the GNA at Axim on Wednesday. He reminded Ghanaians that, the NDC has been sober in opposition for eight years where it contributed to the democratization of Ghana's infant democracy. The NDC Youth Organizer said the party has learnt so many things in opposition and will continue from where they left off if given the mandate.

He said as social democrats, the party is committed to the well-being of Ghanaians, especially women and the youth because they form majority of the population. Mr. Nkansah asked the electorate, especially the youth to vote for Prof. John Evans Atta Mills because he is the most seasoned politician among the presidential candidates. He stressed that the NDC has never thought of fuelling violence before, during and after Sunday's general elections to derail the peace and stability that the nation was enjoying.
