“Vote for leaders with vision” - CPP Candidate

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) Parliamentary candidate for Korley-Klottey, Dr Kabu Okai-Davies, has appealed to the electorate to elect leaders who have the technical know-how, vision and inspiration to lead their constituencies and the country.

He said the CPP was committed to depart from the current nature of Ghanaian politics where people were using politics as a means for personal gain and rather focus on ideas, issues policy initiatives and pragmatic programs that would lead towards the development of Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Dr Okai-Davies said the CPP had the people who were willing to use their expertise to transform their respective constituencies and the nation including him who would change the face of the Korle-klottey Constituency when given the mandate.

He said the constituency was central to the administrative, symbolic, cultural and political infrastructure of Ghana and deserves a better representation in parliament to champion its cause for the well-being of its people.

He said the Korle-klottey Constituency had functional and dominant entertainment houses including the National Theatre, Cinemas, International Conference Centre, residential, civil and commercial communities that must be harnessed for development to reflect the well-being of its people.

Dr Okai-Davies said he would ensure that funds were invested in tourism which abounds in the constituency to create avenues for the local community through the hospitality, civil and creative industries; when voted into power.

He said he would collaborate with the chiefs to tackle sanitation problem in the area to bring about public cleanliness and develop a drainage system to facilitate easy flow of waste and rain water.

He expressed worry that despite the location of many reputable tertiary institutions in the area, there are high rates of school drop outs and illiterates.

The Parliamentary aspirant said he would implement programmes that would ensure that the people in the constituency particularly women took advantage of the schools in the area to acquire knowledge for development.

Dr Okai-Davies said the CPP had the track record of bettering the lives of Ghanaians through national development and appealed to the electorate to vote for the CPP and its parliamentary candidates to alleviate their plight.
