The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Suhum Constituency in the Eastern Region, Frank Asiedu Bekoe (Protozoa), has called on Ghanaians to help sustain the Free Senior High School (SHS) program by ensuring the current administration was maintained in power.

The free SHS program, he said, was a great initiative that needs to be protected for the benefit of Ghana's future.

According to him, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is poised to cancel the free SHS program when voted into office in 2025.

Protozoa made this known during his usual thanksgiving tour to churches within the constituency at Suhum-Ateibu last Sunday.

The aspiring MP, who was enstooled as development Chief of Ateibu at a mini durbar organised by the Chiefs and People of the Ateibu during the day, noted that the free SHS program has created a room for brilliant but needy children to attain secondary education without paying a cedi.

"Let's all ignore the NDC and vote massively for the NPP to ensure that the almighty Free SHS policy was sustained for the benefit of the ordinary Ghanaian," he disclosed.

He also assured the good people of the entire constituency about his preparedness to ensure that massive developmental projects hit every corner of the constituency when elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) during the December 7 general elections.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Protozoa said, is a listening person who understands the needs of the ordinary Ghanaian and, therefore, called on electorates to give him the mandate to rule from the 2025 year.

"Dr. Bawumia is a problem solver and would ensure that challenges confronting the ordinary Ghanaian were addressed across every region in the absence of any discrimination," he stated.

The current NPP administration, he said, has over the years embarked on numerous developmental projects across the length and breadth of the country and therefore needs to be retained in power to further its course taking Ghana to its promised land.

For his part, the Chief of Ateibu, Nana Agyei Ababio, III, promised the NPP candidate of their votes during the elections.

The traditional Leader also pleaded with the government to ensure that the challenges in the area, including roads, hospitals, and portable drinking water, among others, are addressed.
