Voters registration: NPP Western Regional organiser visits Shama Constituency

Mr. Abdul Ganiyu Mohammed, the Western Regional Organiser for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) visited some registration centers in the Shama Constituency.

The NPP's Organiser is touring some Constituencies in the region to ascertain what is happening in the on-going voters' registration exercise and also to assist the NPP's registration agents.

He visited these registration centers on day three of the exercise; Police Barrier, Methodist Primary, Methodist Church One and Two and Methodist Primary School One and Two.

In all the centers he toured, Mr. Ganiyu Mohammed took time to interact with his party agents to find out the challenges they were encountering.

He also schooled them as to what they should be looking out for and urged them to inform the leadership of the party about any challenges they would encounter.

The NPP Western Regional Organiser was well received by the officers of the Electoral Commission.

Briefing the media, expressed his happiness about the on-going exercise and urged the eligible Ghanaians to come out in their numbers to register.

He also commended the applicants for comporting themselves by observing the COVID-19 safety protocols.



Mr. Ganiyu Mohammed said people of Western Region were eager to register massively and retain President Akufo-Addo in power come to December 7, 2020.

He disclosed that President Akufo-Addo has done so many projects in the region and deserves another term to complete his unfinished businesses.

He ended his speech by urging Ghanaians to be law-abiding citizens before, during and after the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The Regional Organizer went round with the Shama Constituency Secretary, Mark Ackon who doubles as the Presiding Member for the District Assembly, Mr Garby one of Our social Media guys.

The exercise commenced on Tuesday, June 30 in some 6,788 clusters made up of five registration centers each across the country.

It is being conducted in 5 phases, each phase spanning 6 days with additional days for mop-up.

The nationwide exercise is expected to end on August 6, 2020.

However, Western Region has seventeen (17) Constituencies and so far no Constituency has recorded any incident of violence.
