Voting progressing smoothly at Odoben-Brakwa

Odoben (C/R), Dec. 7, GNA - Voting in Odoben and Brakwa areas in the Asikuma-Odoben- Brakwa constituency started peacefully and orderly when the Ghana News Agency visited some polling stations in the constituency. The presiding Officer of the Anafo SCMB Shed polling station with registration number BO90401, Mr De Graft Donkoh, said 400 out of 691 registered voters had cast their vote as at 1210 hours when the Ghana News Agency visited the station. At the Catholic Primary school polling station at the Awendaze electoral area in the same constituency with registration number BO90702, the presiding officer Mr Anthony Nkrumah said 544 out of a total 1007 registered voters had cast their votes when the GNA visited the polling station at 1220 hours.

The Presiding Officer of the Catholic Junior High School in the Mmuom New Town electoral area with polling station number BO90601, Mr Kwame Boadi, told the GNA that as at 1252 hours 208 out of 323 eligible voters registered had cast their votes. At the Brakwa Methodist Primary Polling station with registration number BO90901, Mr Samuel Daisey, the Presiding Officer disclosed to the Mr Albert Dzimado, the presiding officer of the Ohenebrenso polling station at the Otimafokrom electoral area with registration number BO91001, said 81 out of 589 registered voters had cast their votes as at 0930 hours when the GNA visited the polling station. The presiding officer of the Apostolic Church polling station in Brakwa with registration number BO91102 Mr Isaac Odoom said 312 out of a total 550 registered voters have cast their votes when the GNA visited the station at 1158 hours.

Thirty-four out of 325 eligible voters had cast their votes as at 0820 hours when the Ghana News Agency visited the Ankobea Zongo polling station in the Asikuma- Odoben Brakwa constituency with registration number BO90902.

The presiding officer Mr Rashid Abdul told the GNA that no incident had been recorded as at the time of visit. Party agents representing the New Patriotic Party, National Democratic Congress, Convention Peoples Party and the Democratic Freedom Party were present at almost all the polling stations the GNA visited in the constituency.
