The Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, has announced a bounty of GH¢100,000 for any person or group that provides information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the recent spate of killings in Wa, citinewsroom.com reports.
According to the citinewsroom report, approximately 12 people, predominantly private security guards, have been murdered by unknown assailants in the area.
Speaking at a media briefing in Wa, Dr. Pelpuo emphasized the profound fear and panic these incidents have caused within the Wa municipality, which has significantly disrupted local business activities.
The legislator also voiced his concerns over the police's prolonged silence regarding the investigation outcomes, stressing the adverse effects this has had on the community's residents.
