The Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Mr.Kwame Osei Prempeh,has stated that, it takes continous lobbying and strategic planning in order to source for projects and other things from government to facilitate the development of one's area or Constituency. He said it is also incumbent on the populace to wait patiently for the fulfilment of such projects and development in the country.
Mr. Osei Prempeh,stated this during the handing over of a 58-seater TATA Bus to the Nsutaman Catholic Secondary School at a short but impressive ceremony at Nsuta in the Ashanti Region. The gesture is in fulfillment of President Kufuor's promise to the School for the provision of a bus to facilitate the work of the school and its allieds. According to the Deputy Minister,who is also the MP for the Nsuta-Kwaman- Beposo Constituency,government will not intentionally fail to deliver on its promises, since it exists for the populace.
He rather called for peace,unity and stability from all manner of Ghanaians irrespective of their political or ethnical inclination,so that the development we are all clamouring for could be achieved.
Mr. Osei Prempeh charged them to rally solidly behind the government to help build a more better economic environment for genrations to come.
The MP pointed out that,since children are the future resource of the country,parents and guardians are therefore obliged to give them good and sound education.
"The introduction of the Capitation grant,NEPAD School Feeding Project and other educational policies are all geared towards improving enrolment and retention of children of school going age and to cushion parents in their bid to give their children better and proper education",he added. He,however,urged the School authorities to develop maintenance culture to prolong the lifespan of the bus and other facilities in the school,while calling for the strict adherence to disciplinary measures.
Mr. Osei Prempeh,also disclosed that plans are far afoot to construct a Water Booster Station to improve Water supply in the Constituency.
The Sekyere West District Chief Executive,Haruna Oppnog Boateng,also mentioned that,the Nsuta Catholic Secondary School has been selected as one of the deprived schools to be upgraded into a model school,as well as,the costruction of a three storey building, comprising six flats for teachers in the school to solve the accommodation problem facing the school.
He also said the Kwaman Junction-Nsuta-Mampong road has awarded on contract at the cost of 21 billion cedis of which work is expected to commence soon to facilitate easy movement of goods and persons. The Paramount Chief of Nsuta,Nana Agyei Bonsarfo,commended the government for the gesture.
The Headmaster of the School,Mr Raphael Osei Adu,who received the keys to the Bus,said the the vehicle has come at an opportune time and hoped this will greatly assist the school in so many ways.
