Setting your mind to the task and pressing forward regardless of the challenges and obstacles that may try to intimidate you, that’s the ultimate step towards success, Entrepreneur and founder of the Jospong Group of Companies, Joseph Siaw Agyepong has said.

Revealing how he started his journey to success, he told participants at the 2017 Ghana SME CEO Summit that ‘walking’ was practically how he laid the foundation for his success story; a typical example of how little beginnings with focus can achieve much.

“I’ve roamed the streets of Accra selling stationery on my head, walking through everywhere….so the starting is walking. I want to encourage everyone here to just have the mindset that you will be successful, whatever you are going through is the beginning”

“Challenges may come, it is the process towards success and so be encouraged, whatever you are doing is the right way…just start and go ahead”, he said.

Mr. Siaw Agyepong (Jospong), owns over 40 companies including the country’s largest waste management company, Zoomlion Ghana Limited; SUBAH Infosolutions and the Road Safety Management Services Limited.

He has achieved many feats including being featured as the August 2017 edition cover for Forbes Africa. He was also recently awarded Man of The Year, Business (Magnate Award) at the second edition of the prestigious Exclusive Men of The Year (EMY AFRICA 2017 AWARDS) at the Kempinski Hotel-Accra. The award was in recognition of his contribution towards Business and Development in Ghana and Africa.

Born March 20, 1971, on a farm land in Assin-Amoabeng in the Central Region, Felix as he was named then by his mother, is the 6th of 17 children to his father, who later changed his name to Joseph.

His poor background pushed him into “trying to find solutions to problems in society”.
