Accra (Ghanaian Times) 06 May 2002 - The Leader and Founder for the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) Mr T.N. Ward-Brew has stated that the party is seriously re-organising itself to contest the Wulensi by-election and the 2004 presidential elections.

He said the DPP will go all out to ensure that it captures power from the NPP government, which had disappointed the people of Ghana. Mr Ward-Brew was speaking in an interview with The Ghanaian Times in Accra. In the meantime, the leader of the party said attention is being focused on the Wulensi seat, which it has vowed to win.

On the NDC's congress and its aftermath, Mr Ward Brew warned that the party would collapse if the differences among the leaders were not resolved before the next election. He said Dr Obed Asamoah, no matter the people's perception about him should be given the opportunity to move the party forward since he has been given that mandate.

He regretted that there were personal attacks on Dr Asamoah before the congress and urged the party members to put their house in order. Mr Ward Brew said the action of the NDC before its just ended congress has exposed itself to the whole world, adding that the party would collapse if care is not taken.
