Over the weekend, leading figures of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) joined their flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for a fundraising event in the United Kingdom (UK).
The event, which saw the attendance of several party sympathizers and stalwarts, was aimed at raising funds to support the NPP’s campaign for the 2024 general elections.
A video from the event, sighted by GhanaWeb, shows the General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, and Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (alias Wontumi), busy on the dancefloor.
Joined by some elated party members, the executives danced to Daddy Lumba’s "Theresa" while the flagbearer watched on from the high table.
Ahead of the December 7 polls, Dr. Bawumia has been engaged in serious campaigning across the country.
The Vice President’s campaign has seen him visit a number of regions and hold engagements with various individuals and organizations to sell his vision and message.
