Watch as Bola Ray 'hypes' COP Lydia Donkor

Broadcast journalist, Nathan Kwabena Adisi better known as Bola Ray has predicted a possible elevation of Commissioner of Police, COP Lydia Donkor, to the position of Inspector General of Police (IGP) after the tenure of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the current IGP.

After her spirited rendition of Ghana’s national anthem, host Bola Ray showered her with praise and went further to predict her rise to the highest office in the police service.

Speaking on Starr FM’s Starr Chat on Thursday, March 26, 2026, Bola Ray engaged COP Lydia Donkor in an expansive discussion on her professional journey.

The interview provided key insights into the officer’s rise through the ranks.

“Ladies and gentlemen, after IGP Yohuno, your next IGP, Ghana’s first female substantive IGP, COP Lydia Donkor. We wish you the best,” Bola Ray declared.

“But Lydia, aside everything, you are diligent, you are a great soul, you love human beings and you are a professional. Keep up the good work and may God guide and see you through,” he added.

The remarks drew applause in the studio and have since sparked conversations about the possibility of COP Lydia Donkor breaking new ground as Ghana’s first female Inspector General of Police (IGP).
