Inspector Ahmed Tsumasi under heavy security being taken away to start his jail term
The Kumasi High Court has sentenced Police Inspector Ahmed Twumasi to life imprisonment for the murder of his 26-year-old girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah, in April 2023.
In a viral video sighted by GhanaWeb on Friday, October 24, 2025, Twumasi, seen in handcuffs was taken away under heavy security moments after the Kumasi High Court sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The visibly subdued officer avoided eye contact as onlookers gathered outside the court premises to witness his departure.
Inspector Twumasi, who fatally shot his girlfriend, 26-year-old Victoria Dapaah, popularly known as Maa Adwoa, at Adum in Kumasi two years ago, was convicted of murder after a high-profile trial that gripped the nation.
