Family members, loved ones, and sympathisers thronged the residence of the late Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, following his untimely death in a military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, along with seven others.

The atmosphere at the residence was filled with sorrow and grief as mourners gathered to console the bereaved family and pay their respects.

The crash claimed the lives of Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Samuel Sarpong, former Central Regional Minister and Samuel Aboagye, former parliamentary candidate.

In addition to Flying Officer Twum-Ampadu, the helicopter's crew also included Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
