Tension erupted on Sunday morning after a group of individuals reportedly stormed the church premises of preacher Fire Oja, demanding that he accompany them to the Nai We Shrine over allegations of disrespect toward traditional customs.
According to a viral video circulating on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on March 22, 2026, the group accused the man of God of destroying traditional chairs and disregarding local cultural practices.
The confrontation quickly escalated as they attempted to forcibly remove him from the church.

In the footage, Fire Oja was seen calmly addressing the group, assuring them that he would honour their request but only after completing his service.
The group, however, rejected his plea, insisting on immediate compliance. The situation soon turned chaotic as members allegedly began vandalising items within the church premises, sparking panic among congregants gathered for worship.
Amid the disorder, the preacher was heard instructing his team to “stream everything live,” seemingly to document the incident as it unfolded.
