The incident has reignited concerns over the increasing vulnerability of some parts of Tarkwa to flooding during the rainy season, with residents calling for urgent measures to improve drainage infrastructure and prevent a recurrence.

Residents in the area say flooding has become a recurring challenge whenever there is prolonged rainfall, raising fears over the safety of lives and property.
