Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has paid a courtesy visit on President John Dramani Mahama in Kwahu.
The two statesmen, who are in Kwahu for the Easter festivities, were seen in heartwarming photos sharing moments.
Videos shared by UTV Ghana, and sighted by GhanaWeb on Saturday, April 4, 2026, showed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo arriving with his entourage and being received by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, along with other senior government officials, including the Deputy Minister of Defence, Brogya Genfi.
After being ushered indoors, President John Dramani Mahama, who appeared visibly excited, exchanged pleasantries with his predecessor, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in a moment many have described as a beautiful display of camaraderie.

Sharing excerpts from their meeting, Akufo-Addo stated in a Facebook post that he has been visiting Kwahu during the Easter period for over two decades.
“On the Holy Saturday of Easter, while in Kwahu, where for almost two decades I have consecutively visited during the sacred period of Easter, I called on the President of the Republic, HE John Dramani Mahama, who is also in Kwahu,” he shared on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have taken to Akufo-Addo’s post to commend him and President John Dramani Mahama for what they describe as the “true definition of democracy” being practiced in the country.
