NDC supporters in green army wing on motorbikes riding through Nima in Accra
Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, led a high-energy campaign march through the streets of Nima in the Ayawaso East constituency to support NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate Baba Jamal ahead of March 3, 2026, by-election.
Accompanied by a crowd estimated at over 5,000 supporters; the party’s formidable Green Army, Basintale’s arrival signaled a decisive push for Baba Jamal.
A video shared by X Ghana on their X page on February 28, 2026, showed Basintale and his Green Army driving through Nima with a massive procession on motorbikes through the principal streets of Ayawaso East.
Baba Jamal to contest Ayawaso East by-election
Basintale, known for his fiery oratory and charismatic leadership, is seen leading the supporters amid dancing as he charged residents to turn out in their numbers to support Baba Jamal.
“We will win, we will win,” he is heard chanting in the video.
The Ayawaso East by-election, scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026, has become a focal point of national political interest.
