There was drama at Osudoku during a coronation ceremony to supposedly confirm Nene Ongmle Teye Adjidah Botuako V as the new Paramount Chief of Osudoku Traditional Area.
According to Osudoku TV, as the celebrations were ongoing, a court official accompanied by police officers arrived at the shrine of the traditional council and arrested Numo Tettey Kwame Ofori, the esteemed High Priest of Osudoku Ablao shrine in the Shai-Osudoku District, and two other men.
The arrest was effected after the priest reportedly defied a court order barring him from conducting the coronation ceremony.
The court official earlier pasted court documents at the shrine's entrance, legally restraining the priest from performing the ritual, but it went on throughout the night.
Videos shared by Osudoku TV show the return of the high priest and the two men who were arrested together with him.
The videos show a purification ceremony being done for them before they enter the shrine and celebrations by members of the community after that.
