Minister of Education Haruna Iddrisu (L) and Anas Amereyaw Anas (R)
Award-winning investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas was among the dignitaries who thronged the Accra Metropolitan Omanye Aba Hall yesterday, September 9, 2025 (AMA) to grace a book launch by veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt Junior.
Anas, who is celebrated for his utilisation of anonymity as a tool in his investigative journalism work, entered the hall with his famous facemask to conceal his actual identity from the public.
However, he was captured in a video sitting in the same row at the hall with many high-profile personalities who graced the occasion.
In a viral video circulating on social media platforms, Anas is seen engaging in what appears to be a friendly conversation with the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, who sat close to him at the hall.
Though their conversation is mute as the audio in the video is inaudible, Haruna Iddrisu was captured beaming with laughter as he engaged the veteran investigative journalist.
Africans intensify struggle for reparative justice - Kwesi Pratt
The launch also captured a lot of intriguing and nostalgic moments, especially when Kwesi Pratt enthusiastically welcomed his colleague, veteran journalist Kweku Baako Junior, and took a photograph with him.
The launch of the compelling book, REPARATIONS: History, Struggle, Politics and Law, which officially took place yesterday, September 9, 2025, had President John Dramani Mahama as the guest of honour.
Professor Akilikpa Sawyer was the chairman, while celebrated media icon, Kabla Blay Amihere was the book reviewer.
Kwesi Pratt's book presents a powerful narrative that intricately links history, struggle, politics and law, offering an authentic African perspective on the reparations discourse and throwing light on its global relevance.
