Watch the solemm wreath laying ceremony in honour of late Theresah Kufuor

October 2024 marks one year since the passing of Mrs. Theresah Aba Kufuor, the former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana and the beloved wife of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

To commemorate this day, family, friends, and well-wishers, led by her husband, former President H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor gathered to honour her memory.

A heartfelt video shared on social media captured the moments as a wreath was laid at the former first lady’s resting place in Dabaah near Akropong in the Atwima District of the Ashanti Region.

The video captured the former president, along with family and members of the clergy exchanging pleasantries before the procession headed towards the burial site of the former first lady.

Mrs. Theresah Aba Kufuor, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 88, was remembered for her grace, compassion, and dedication to public service.

Her funeral rites included a solemn Requiem Mass and a State Funeral held at the forecourt of the State House in Accra on November 16, 2023.

Following these ceremonies, she was laid to rest in Kumasi on November 18, 2023.
