We have lost a strong pillar in the party - John Boadu on Agyarko's death

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu says the party has lost a strong pillar in the party.

He says his enormous contribution to the party's development both at constituency and national level cannot be quantified.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme about the sudden demise of NPP's member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, the NPP Scribe was still in shock and doubt over the death of the astute politician, adding that he will forever be missed.

"Though I was not directly involved in his activities, I knew he was doing pretty much well and I can without any shred of doubt say he is irreplaceable.

"I will urge all party members to remain calm as the leadership of the party will meet with his family members to discuss the funeral arrangement and communicate that to Ghanains," he said.

Agyarko's Death Is "Shocking" – Ex-Prez Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has described the late Ayawaso West Wuogon MP, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko as a “hardworking” person who served Ghana diligently.

According to him, Mr Kyeremanteng Agyarko always meet deadlines to works assigned him within the party.

Mr Kufuor said his death comes as a “shock” to him.

Akufo-Addo mourns Emmanuel Agyarko

President Akufo-Addo says the country shares in the loss of the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West, Emmanuel Kyerematen Agyarko, who died Wednesday in the United States of America, where he had gone for medical treatment.

The President made this known when he visited the family of the late MP at their Airport Hills Residence to express on behalf of the Nation.

Speaking through the National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku, President Akufo-Addo said the death of Emmanuel Kyerematen Agyarko, came to him as a big shock and has greatly saddened his heart.

He assured the family that the State will do all within its power to give the late MP a befitting burial.

Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko died at a hospital in the United States of America after a long battle with illness.

The former Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Board (FDB) now FDA, was born on 10 December 1957 at Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern Region.

He was also the Chairperson of the Environment, Science and Technology Committee of Parliament and once served on the Government's Assurance and Health Committees.

The late pharmacist-turned-politician obtained a BSc IN Pharmacy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 1982 - He was age 60.
