The Paramount Chief of Nsein Traditional Council, Awulae Agyevi Kwame II has made it clear that chiefs make mockery out of the conduct of politicians any time they criticize their opponents.
Awulae revealed that the chiefs always looked closer to politicians and make mockery of what they say.
He made references to former President John Dramani Mahama's comments that NPP had ignored all ongoing projects started during his administration.
He went on to say, that the former President asked the current president to stop dirty politics thus, the current president should continue the unfinished projects started by the Mahama-led administration.
On that, Awulae Agyevi Kwame II questioned the former President why his administration abundantly ignored the then Kufour administration's ongoing projects at Nsein Senior High School when they won power from NPP in 2008.
"Former President Kufuor started a construction of a dormitory for Nsein SHS girls but was abandoned by the NDC government for good years and today Akufo-Addo is the President and still nothing has been done about the abandoned dormitory", he said.
On that, he made a call to the NPP National Chairman Freddie Blay that if that is the trend then the NPP should come and continue the Nsein School project since it was started by the then Kufour's administration.
Awulae Agyevi Kwame II made this call when he was celebrating this year's Kundum festival with the theme "PEACE PEREQUISITE FOR ACCELERATED DEVELOPMENT".
Awulae on the other hand asked the National Chairman of the ruling party to tell the President to form a committee to settle the dispute between Nsein and Lower Axim Traditional area.
On his part, the NPP's National Chairman, Freddie Blay who was the special guest of honour in his speech, called for peace to reign in the area.
He said people usually take the peace they enjoy for granted and therefore appealed to all the chiefs in the area to put their heads together and settle chieftaincy dispute existing among them to pave way for peace and development.
He, therefore seized the opportunity to reaffirmed government's readiness to relocate the headquarters of GNPC to Takoradi in the Western Region.
He also called on the people to rally behind the Akufo-Addo-led government to develop the Region.
The Western Regional Minister who doubles as the MP for Takoradi, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah in his remarks also called for peace to prevail in the area because if there is no peace there can't be development.
The Minister in his remarks also said within the world where there is no peace, there is no development thus the only weapon for development is peace.
