The Deputy Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Henry Nana Boakye says the nation needs a united force to clamp down on activities of the so-called political vigilante groups in the country.

Nana B, as popularly known in politics made the call in an interview with Hello Fm in Kumasi when asked about how the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is planning to bring down the activities of vigilantism and hooliganism on the rise in recent times.

“I have already made a bold declaration to stop them from that”. He said

He condemned it stating: “it is better we arrest everybody who engages himself in such acts. I would be happy to hear those engaging in such operations have been arrested”.

According to him, vigilantism is as a result of ‘big men’ in the society tending to use the youth to achieve their devilish ambitions stating that, the NPP will not come to the rescue of anybody who engages himself in such acts.

The lawyer explained that there are issues which happen during the administration of both parties, (NPP and NDC) but said when such actions are condemned out rightly, the youth would come to the realization that their leaders are no more condoning their lawless acts.

“We must fight this thing with a united voice”. He advised.

In response to the opposition NDC’s assertion that, NPP is supporting vigilantism especially in the case of Delta Force he said members of the group went through the normal judicial process and that the NPP had no hand in their release.

Descending on the claims by the former president John Mahama’s assertion that, the NPP is reaping what it sowed, he criticized him on the tangent he took.

“ I was expecting John Mahama to advise us as our father and elderly person in the country but politicizing it will give some people the opportunity to make references to other events which happened during his time”
