PROFESSOR John Evans Atta-Mills, Leader and Presidential Candidate of the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised the women of this country that the murder of the thirty-four (34) women of this country cannot be allowed to be swept under the carpet.

In an interview with the 'Ghanaian Post' at his campaign office last Thursday, Professor Mills insisted that the gruesome murder of those our sisters, mothers and daughters of the land needs thorough investigations so that the perpetrators can be brought to book.

He said that he was surprised that people think that Mr Quansah was found guilty for murdering eight of the victims. "Nothing can be further from the truth," he emphasized.

He said that it was this false information which has been put in the public domain which even worries him most.

Prof. Mills emphasized that the killing of our women was as serious as the brutal murder of the late Ya-Na Andani II and forty of his subjects.

He concluded by saying "a nation that cannot be built on the principle of truth cannot survive".
