Managers of Ghana Premier League side WAFA have affirmed they would continue to let go their players to any destination so far as there is a good offer.

Operations Manager of the Sogakope-based club, George Ofosu Hene says his outfit will continue to ship their players regardless of the destination, provided the suitor meets the asking price.

Ofosu Hene indicated that clubs in Ghana are facing so many financial problems and his side will continue to sell as they seek money to run the team. “We are a production club so we train players with the aim to sell so it not surprising that we have sold our key players despite chasing the league title. Clubs are suffering in this country to pay players and we struggle to pay our players so even me, if I was to be a footballer, I would be gone”, “What we prime most, is the money and when it comes good, we will seel. It is not only footballers but even doctors move”,

“We sold our goalkeeper [Razark Abalora] to Tanzania and some people are shocked but let me disclose to you that clubs in Tanzania are paying far far better than what we do in Ghana”,

“If Tanzania clubs are paying in the range of $1000 or 2,000 to $3000 and this will help the player improve his life, why not allow him to leave?” he quizzed

“We don’t care about the destination or name Tanzania..we only care about what they will earn at those clubs”, he added After the sale of Razak Abalora, WAFA are also in talks with clubs in Belgium over the possible sale of Majeed Ashimeru and Daniel Lomotey.
