The Suhum Constituency's concerned NDC supporters have noted that their parliamentary candidate, Comrade Prince Kwadwo Addo Tabiri, has been missing since the constituency primaries.

The concerned NDC supporters claim that the absence of the parliamentary candidate is affecting the party's mobilization and activities.

The supporters recall that the NDC held its parliamentary and presidential primaries on May 13, 2023, to allow more time to engage voters and maximize votes for a resounding victory.

After the primaries, the NDC delegates gave the mandate to Prince Kwadwo Addo Tabiri to lead the constituency in the 2024 general elections.

Some concerned NDC supporters in the Suhum Constituency, speaking with a journalist, said the parliamentary candidate left the country just after the elections and has not returned to lead the party to victory.

They said it is worrisome, and the absence is having negative effects on the preparations and activities for the general election.

The parliamentary candidate is the leader of the party at the constituency level and spearheads the party's activities and means of reaching the masses for them to understand the party and vote for it in 2024.

The concerned supporters are pleading with the missing parliamentary candidate to reconcile with the constituency executives and other candidates to bring unity to the constituency.

The parliamentary candidates, together with the constituency executives, are finding ways to mobilize resources for the operation of the party and for mobilizing votes in 2024.

The absence of the parliamentary candidate has affected mobilizations and the organization of the party.

These are the effects of the parliamentary candidate's absence:

Lack of proper organization

Lack of proper mobilization

It cripples the way we get resources for party work.

It brings division in the ranks and file of the party.

It gives the opponent the undue advantage of getting people to buy into his ideas.

The party has lost the trust of the people, saying it is not serious.

It makes it difficult for the chiefs and opinion leaders to accept it.

"When all the above happens, it doesn't make the electorate take the party seriously, especially in an opposition zone as we find ourselves, and by that, it hinders the process of increasing our support base, which transforms into votes in elections."

"As we speak now, we have started reaping the effects of the absence of our parliamentary candidate, Prince Kwadwo Addo Tabiri, who is not in the country, and if care is not taken as soon as possible, the Suhum Constituency will lose massively to the NPP."

We are hereby appealing to the national leaders of the NDC party, Asiedu Nketia, and John Dramani Mahama, to act upon our call to make our parliamentary candidate available in the constituency," they said.
