The Tamale North Member of Parliament, Alhassan Suhuyini, has extolled the late Alhaji Bature Iddrisu, for his selflessness and commitment to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and mankind, indicating the fact that the deceased left a mark and will be missed by many.

“We all will miss Alhaji Bature’s dedicated, committed and selfless service to mankind, not just the NDC”, Suhuyini admitted.

Aside being a loyal and selfless member of the NDC, Alhaji Bature was also like family to the party, Alhassan Suhuyini said.

He disclosed that Ibrahim Mahama was the first person the family contacted when the late Alhaji Bature fell ill because of the relationship the two had.

“Beyond being a very loyal, dedicated and selfless member of the NDC, he was also family to many of us, including Ibrahim Mahama. His house was home to Alhaji Bature and it wasn’t surprising that when he was taken ill, he was the first person that the family called upon”, the Tamale North lawmaker revealed.

Suhuyini added that there were numerous efforts to save the deceased, but all proved futile.

“Everything that a human being could do to save the life of Alhaji Bature was done but like we are told in the Quran there is an appointed time for each and every one of us and when that time comes nothing else can save you”, he concurred.

Alhassan Suhuyini stated that the entire Nima community is mourning because it has lost one of its breadwinners.

“I am sure that many people in this community today are crying not just because Alhaji is gone but because he was breadwinner to many of them. And through him, a lot of people had solutions to problems that they thought they could never have solutions to. And I am sure that is the reason many people in this community will be crying today”, he concluded.

The late Alhaji Bature was the Chief Editor for the Al-Hajj newspaper and a panelist on Adom TV’s morning show, Badwam. He was admitted at the Kore-Bu Teaching Hospital after taking sudden illness before giving up the ghost last Friday, January 5, 2018.
