We will ‘pepper’ government in 2018 - Jinapor

Former Deputy Minister of Power and Member of Parliament (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency, John Abdulai Jinapor has given the indication that government and the majority side in parliament will know no peace in 2018.

He threatened the minority will keep government and its allies on their toes and demand accountability on behalf of the citizenry revealing that what it did in 2017 was just a curtain raiser and that they will have double dose of that this year.

The minority National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2017 held series of press conferences relating to the controversial $2.25 billion bond, the $100,000 presidential dinner seat, the challenges of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy and the recent outrageous budget of the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives among other issues.

Mr Jinapor observed that this year, government should gird its loins against fireworks because the minority will match them boot-for-boot and ensure that the resources of the state are judiciously used.

According to him, Ghanaians can no longer bear the suffering under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government just a year in office and are eager to see the exit of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“If we look at happenings in the country, President Nana Akufo-Addo will be axed in 2020 whether he likes it or not he must go. 2020 we will show Nana! We the minority will efficiently play our part by keeping them on check so I will urge all of you to also do your part by uniting so we can fight a common purpose”, he told patrons of the NDC Unity Walk in Techiman last Saturday.
