Parliamentary hopeful of the NPP Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Patrick Kwabena Ampong-Baidoo, popularly known as Blue Boy, on Wednesday 19th February 2020 submitted his parliamentary nomination forms to the NPP Constituency Office in Weija.

This comes exactly after two days of picking the nomination forms.

This political move puts him in good standing for vetting and apparently battle-ready for the contest.

Blue Boy is seen as a big threat to incumbent Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley Mensah.

Blue Boy is the former Presiding Member for both Weija-Gbawe and Ga South Municipal Assemblies.

In an interview with journalists, Blue Boy stated that he believed strongly that all is now set for him to prepare for the vetting and the primaries itself on 25th April.

"We thank God that we have been able to file my nomination today. It was just this Monday we picked the forms and by the grace of God we have come this far. We have submitted all the required documents and we are hopeful that this is the rightful step that we have taken," Blue Boy emphasized.

He continued that Democracy is about sharing ideas and that people express their opinions in the same Political party that others may not agree but it shouldn't lead to the creation of enemies and backbiting.

"If you are an MP, one thing is clear that a day of reckoning will come for you to seek another mandate. The day of reckoning is election so if you think you have worked enough let the contest be opened for your good works to speak for you,"

He also urged his supporters to remain calm and follow the due process involved for the primaries.
