Western CPP commends President Mills

Takoradi, Feb. 21 -GNA-The Western Regional branch of the Convention People's Party (CPP) has commended President John Evans Atta Mills for appointing Dr. Kwabena Dufuor as the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.

This was contained in a release signed by Mr. Samuel Gordon Etroo, Regional Chairman of the party and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

The statement said the appointment fulfilled the President's promise of an all inclusive government.

The statement said they hoped that Dr. Dufuor who is a member of the CPP will use his vast experience and skills to improve the economy of the country through sound and prudent economic policies. The statement urged the President to identify more Ghanaians with skills and competencies and appoint them to assist in the governance of the country.
