General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia says his commentaries on the ongoing election petition case at the Supreme Court just sound unpleasant to his critics.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia however maintained his comments are not inflammatory like people perceive.

The NDC chief Scribe and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, have come under several attacks with many calling for them to be blacklisted by the media.

They are accused of many a time twisting the facts about what happens in court during interviews with the media.

The National Peace Council has asked both gentlemen to refrain from commenting on the election petition case. The council believes the partisan commentary they run on the case may be prejudicial and also send a wrong impression to their followers.

Speaking on What’s New, the Chairman of the Council, Most Rev. Emmanuel Asante said comments after the court proceedings should be left to the legal team of the parties.

But Mr. Asiedu Nketia who also spoke on the same program said his critics perfectly understand what he says but are just not happy to hear.

He said it will be unfair to condemn him when all he says is to defend the case of the NDC at the Supreme Court.
